Still the flood alerts come

WE are certainly having it a bit rough on the Trent with its continuing flood alerts.

There was another yesterday, Sunday, with the river set to rise at 11pm last night, the Environment Agency tells.

Rise throughout the day

Adding that it is expecting the river to rise throughout today from Shardlow down to the tidal at Donnington Weir.

This is only four days after the last flood alert covering the same area of the river with many other such alerts before as the storms kept coming.

This current alert includes the notice to avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses which may be flooded.
