Quick repair on the North Stratford

THE North Stratford Canal was closed yesterday, at Lapworth Lock (7) but Canal & River Trust failed to tell why!

But no matter, for this morning, Thursday it was repaired and the navigation reopened, Keith Gudgin reports.

And the trust then told what the problem was—a paddle had come out of its frame, adding:  'but our Reactive Response team fitted it back in this morning', with the message:

'The Trust will work to resolve the issue promptly'.
