Selfish individuals

I'M SORRY that Craig Fowler feels that CaRT don't do enough to 'assist' cyclists riding on the towpath, writes Martin Howes.

I'm sure they do not need any encouragement to produce more Blue Signs to cater for the selfish individuals using the system.

Barely wide enough

In many areas the towpath is barely wide enough for cyclists to pass at walking pace, let alone normal speeds. The natural tendency of these selfish people is to force any oncoming traffic, whether mounted or on foot, to the waterside.

Maybe we should be grateful that this accident only involved two cyclists and not a disabled person, a parent with a pushchair, or any number of children.

By the way, the Thames is not CaRT's responsibility.
