Stoppage notices becoming complete ridiculous
THE stoppage notices from Canal & River Trust are becoming complete ridiculous.
It should surely put someone in charge of them who has a modicum of common sense.
Backwards
Yesterday there were three stoppage notices containing misinformation, making it so awkward for boaters to understand when a navigation is open or not, and today, Keith Gudgin reports a stoppage notice that is backwards!
The notice concerning Castleford Cut Bridge—not even giving its number—on the Aire & Calder Navigation states that it is closed Wednesday 1 March 2023 11:00 until Tuesday 28 February 2023 16:00.
How on earth can a closure run backwards?
Reflect on the trust's capabilities
Really, something should be done, to make sure stoppage notices are published correctly as these really illiterate efforts reflect badly on the trust's capabilities.
