Oxford Canal lift bridge fails again

AUBREY'S Lift Bridge (221) on the Oxford Canal has failed again.

It has failed this time due to a 'technical fault', with the navigation closed above Kidlington, Keith Gudgin reports.

Hydraulic problem

The previous time it failed in its down position owing to an hydraulic problem and took three days to rectify.

It is understood engineers will be at the site today, so perhaps it will be a quick repair this time.
