The 'Wink' on the Blink—yet again!

ANOTHER week and another notice that the Winkwell Swing Bridge is out of action.

No reason/excuse (again take your pick) given this time just being told that it is 'currently out of action, and is unable to be opened for passing boats', Keith Gudgin reports.

Working to resolve

Instead of the usual 'establishing/organising/creating a method of repair' we are simply informed 'colleagues are working to resolve this issue and this notice will be updated once further information becomes available'.

At this rate the Winkwell is going to beat Coxhead Swing Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool at breaking down.
