More work required for broken paddle

THE broken ground paddle on Newlay Top Lock has been sealed stopping it leaking.

But further work is required to repair the paddle on the Leeds & Liverpool flight, Keith Gudgin reports.

'Suitable solution'

The dam that was to be installed will not now be so until late next week to be able to 'fully access' the damage to the paddle and 'design a suitable solution to repair'.

It is hoped that after this delay, work will finally begin and the flight be reopened.
