More movement on the Ship Canal

OUR own canals are shut down but at least the Manchester Ship Canal is open, Mike Daine tells us.

Here is his picture of the grain barge 'Loach' passing his apartment on the canal, adding that there is a slight increase in boat movements on the waterway

Not a soul

Mike reports 'we haven't seen a soul on the towpath'.

So perhaps the company is acceding to the two metres rule with a more sensible approach than that of Canal & River Trust.
