Two bodies found in boat

TWO bodies have been discovered in a boat moored in York.

The two men were found dead on a boat, moored by Lendal Bridge on the Ouse in York in what police have described in non suspicious circumstances, Alan Tilbury reports.

Concerns by family

The two men, in their 60's were discovered after concerns by family members that they had been out of touch for a while, causing the emergency services to attend the scene by Lendal Bridge at about 8pm on Wednesday evening.

Officers broke into the boat to investigate, finding the two bodies.  These have been removed and an investigation is underway pending a post mortem to discover the cause of death.

It is understood it is a narrowboat, but the type of heating is not known.
