Derwent Mouth Lock closed

THE eastern start of the Trent & Mersey Canal is closed at Derwent Mouth Lock.
Th lock was closed to navigation yesterday, Thursday, when it was reported that one of the lock gates would not close properly, Keith Gudgin reports.
Structural failure
It has not be told what the actual problem is, only that it is a 'structural failure', but the lock will remain closed until it is investigated and repaired.
