One stoppage cleared—another in place

IT WAS not such a bad 'leak and hole' on the Huddersfield Narrow after all as the problem between locks 28E and 29E on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal has been cleared, and the navigation reopened.

Previous problems

This is the guillotine lock, that has had previous problems and again needs parts to get it back in action.

These we are told are being ordered, and yet again no intimation when it will be repaired.

So any boaters wanting to cruise the eastern section of the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, alas, are still unable.

It seems parts did not have to be ordered after all as the lock is now repaired and working!
