See the 'missing link'

THERE is the chance for people to join a walk around the 'missing link' of the Chesterfield Canal next month.

Organised by the supporters’, this will include a walk around Woodall and Killamarsh Ponds and Nor Wood that are part of the feeder system to the waterway.

Norwood Flight

The walk will include the derelict Norwood Flight of narrow locks that comprised of a four rise staircase and three three rise staircases up to the entrance of Norwood Tunnel. The photograph shows the remains of one of the staircases.

This walk takes place on Tuesday 16th April at 7.30pm.  Meet at Norwood Fisheries, Cinder Lane, Killamarsh, S21 2AT. All welcome, but wear decent boots.
