No progress on Stratford marina

IT WAS in early 2016 that permission was given for a marina on the Avon in Stratford, but no progress as been made.

The plans were for a 250 berth marina by Land and Water Estates, with the promise at the time that it would be open by November 2017 Alan Tilbury reports.

Deadline passed

But that deadline has passed, with little sign of anything being done to bring what was to be named the Shakespeare Marina into being.

A spokesman for the company however tells that the building of the marina is still going ahead, but gives neither starting date nor a date when it will be completed.

Nothing however is planned for this year.
