Sunk boat to be removed

THE narrowboat that sank at Swarkestone Lock on the Trent & Mersey Canal is to be removed.
It was on the 1st December that notice was first issued of the sinking, but now it is to be removed, Keith Gudgin tells us.
Canal & River Trust state that it is 'working to move the boat as quickly as possible'. The boat sinking below the lock has not however prevented navigation.
