MANY boaters are commenting on Canal & River Trust's recent 'advice' about saving water when using locks, especially about leaks.

Help keep it in—make sure gates and paddles are shut.
Only if you can that is as so many are broken or leaking badly.

Report any leaks—tell us.
What's the point...nearly all the locks leak.

Find another favourite—Explore less affected parts of the network.

But only if it's not closed...due to something being broken or too shallow due to lack of dredging etc.

Think ahead—plan cruises to minimise use of locks.
Again, only if the canals are not closed due to infrastructure failure etc.
