Stabbed at Thames-side park

A MAN was stabbed on the grounds of the Thames-side park at Abingdon yesterday (Sunday) evening, and died from his injuries.

The man, in his thirties, was discovered with stab wounds by the side of the river and taken to hospital, but died of his injuries, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Woman arrested

A murder enquiry has now been launched by the police and a woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is still in custody.

Forensic examination is being undertaken at the scene near  Abingdon Bridge, with the whole area cordoned off.
