Cannot be accurate

I WOULD suggest Paul Griffin is talking out of his stern tube. It doesn't matter whether the unit used by spotters is using GPS or not, (Is system fit for purpose?) writes Ralph Freeman.

If a boat's location is only recorded once every two weeks or thereabouts, how can it be accurate? (Look how far Victor travelled recently in two weeks.)

No record

The other year I did three weeks around the BCN and about the same number of weeks on the Caldon Canal, yet there was no record of my movements in either of those areas when I did a SAR request to see CaRT's computer based 'sightings log' for my boat!

More propaganda then from CaRT; when will they learn? Telling lies achieves nothing; it just tarnishes the reputation of the trust.
