THERE is another boat hung-up in a lock—on the Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal.
This is at Cholmondeston Lock by the side of Venetian Marina, but it is hoped it will be removed today (Friday) as the contractors are at the scene, Keith Gudgin tells us.
Not acting quick enough
It is understood that like so many before it, the boat's stern was caught on the cill as the water receded from the lock, with the crew not acting quick enough to prevent it.
LATEST:
The boat has now been removed and the lock is in operation again.
