NICK BROWN representing continuous cruisers states his objection to the shortening of mooring time limits at Berkhamsted, Marsworth and Braunston writes Terry Oliver.
Nick writes:
"These proposals will have a detrimental effect on the boater community in respect to schooling and employment."
Puzzled
Irrespective of the proposed shorting of time limits I'm puzzled as to how boaters with a continuous mooring licence are able to send their children to the same local school and/or be in permanent employment at one location, and yet comply with continuous cruising rules?
Perhaps Mr Brown could explain how it works, only thing I can think of is that they move every 14 days a short distance back and forth to remain in the same area. The practice I believe is known as 'bridge hopping'.
