Email: Out of the way!

Reading the correspondence it would seem that only walkers or cyclists have use of the towing path.

Though not usually a supporter of fishermen, we do have to acknowledge that they are the only other group that pays to use the towing path, yet I have seen them suffer abuse from cyclists and harassment from walkers, particularly when they pull their rods in to let a boat past.

However the thing that really gets my goat is when I am struggling against the wind to pull our boat into the bank to moor and some cyclist dings their bell and expects me to jump out of the way.

Yes waterways for all, but please include the needs of the boater in any education initiative , after all the towing path was originally there for our use.
