Email: Where are the volunteers

Adding my penny worth to the volunteers situation, I have to ask where are those 126 volunteers that their superintendent boasts about?

 

I have been out on the system for three months now and have met only a few, one being that man who sits on the lock beam at Braunston, who makes no effort to help even though I am single handed, with his excuse that he sees I have my own system so will leave me to it!

Like Victor, I went down the Atherstone Flight without one in sight, and three weeks around the Black Country canals did not raise one either.

Those 126 are only one section, and I have read somewhere that there are hundreds of volunteers, but all I can say is that they are well hidden!
