Useful telephone number?

COMING down the North Oxford towards Newbold Tunnel today (Sunday) I came across a minor navigation hazard—a large float which has been marking a collapsed embankment for years that had broken loose writes David Hymers.

So I decided to phone the number which CaRT has on the tunnel notice for an emergency number—03030404040. It was duly answered by a recorded voice telling me the office was closed until 9am Monday.

Then it went on to tell me if I wanted to make a donation the details were etc etc. There was no opportunity to leave a message. It seems we must save our emergencies for office hours—just as well I wasn't stuck in the tunnel.
