WITH Easter coming so early this year and recent poor weather, finding something to keep the children occupied without getting wet and muddy is a challenge, but the Wey & Arun Canal could offer a solution.

Special Easter cruises will be running on the canal over the Easter weekend that will allow all the family to enjoy an outing in the Sussex countryside from the shelter of a canal boat.

Chocolate gifts

The 40 minute cruise on a specially decorated Easter-themed boat will allow the whole family to unwind and enjoy the scenery and there will also be a visit from the Easter Bunny with chocolate gifts for the children and refreshments for the adults.

The special cruises will run at 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm from Good Friday, 29th March, through to the Easter Bank Holiday Monday on 1st April from the wharf at Loxwood, West Sussex, just behind the Onslow Arms pub, on the B2133.

Tickets are priced at £8 and places on the cruise can be pre-booked by calling the Wey & Arun Canal Trust Office on 01403 752403 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
