Kings Orchard opens in June

THE first phase of Kings Orchard Marina on the Coventry Canal is set to open in June this year, with 40 berths being available.

In addition to the berths, we are told that toilets and showers will be fully operational together with electricity to the berths.  Ralph Freeman's photograph shows the new bridge carrying the towpath over the entrance to the marina.

No Gold Service yet

However it is unlikely that the proposed Gold Service, that includes private toilets and wi.fi will be available, as neither will the  pump-out unit or diesel supply.

The company behind Kings Orchard Marina also owns other marinas, and we are told it takes pleasure in attracting wild life, so will be planting hundreds of trees in addition to bankside reed beds.

At the moment new berth holders are being offered space at 71p per foot per week plus VAT, paid in advance.  This does not include the Gold Service.
