Email: Ultimate extinction

I don't know why Frank Hurst should be surprised by CaRT's classification of another company's waterway as 'too daunting', does he not realise that CaRT's sole function is now to possibly supervise the decline and ultimate extinction of our inland waterway system?

It is clear that those that make judgements such as those given above are of the opinion that all boaters have even less experience than those making the decisions to deny access to the Manchester Ship Canal.

Successfully navigated

Certainly the Manchester Ship Canal is a waterway to be treated with respect, but other convoys of boats have successfully navigated stretches from Liverpool to Salford without loss. The same, sadly cannot be said about some waterways actually within Cart's jurisdiction. Manchester Ship Canal Company have strict rules for navigating its waterway, which providing they are adhered to, provide a safe passage.

I note in your piece reporting the item in Private Eye, that CaRT have cited 'unauthorised mockery' of its logo as an offence. Does anyone know where might I apply for authorisation to engage in such mockery as I do not wish to be placed on a black list?
