Rochdale Nine arrest

A BOY of 14 has been arrested in a murder enquiry concerning the death of the man in the Rochdale Nine in Manchester.

It was first thought the dead man who drowned in the canal by Canal Street has fallen from the wall, but it seems it was an attack, with a murder enquiry now taking place, Alan Tilbury reveals.

However a post mortem discovered that Simon Brass had died from drowning in the pound of the Rochdale Canal between the first and second lock of the flight.

The arrest came after information was received from the public.
