BOATER  Joseph Griffin was in shock when, moving rubbish from the bow of his boat, he discovered a human head.

John was moored on the Trent by County Hall in Nottingham, when he found what he later discovered was the body of a man, and thought about moving it to the bank, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Dragged out

He asked a couple nearby to help, but one of them stated it would be better to report it to the authorities, so the police were called with an under water search team.  The area was cordoned off and the body dragged  out of the water.

A police spokesman told that the man was thought to be in his early 40s, and there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
