Shroppie boats vandalised

BOATS moored on the Shropshire Union Canal at Audlem have had their windows broken by vandals.

Narrowboats moored near the Shroppie Fly have not only had their windows broken but some show sign of entry, with attempted break-ins, according to villagers, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Damaged

It has been reported that a 'string of boats had been attacked' by the pub, with locks and doors damaged.

The police have been informed, and are warning boaters to take extra care with securing their boats, and for villagers to be on the look-out for activity around the boats.
