Another towpath assault

A TEENAGER was punched whilst waking the towpath of the Staffs & Worcs Canal at Kidderminster just for a cigarette.

The cigarette was snatched from him, and when he objected he was held in an headlock and punched by another teenager, suffering cuts and bruises to the face.

Ran off

The thief then ran off along the towpath towards the Tesco store, whilst his victim was treated in hospital.

This is the second similar attack on that particular section of the towpath, as previously recorded in narrowboatworld.
