A MAN has been caught setting fire to a narrowboat on the Thames and has been arrested.

The 42 years old man set fire to a narrowboat moored in Blossoms Boatyard at Oxford on the Thames before 7am last week-end, and was taken into custody.

Well alight

The police and firefighters were called to the boatyard, where the narrowboat was well alight, and is badly damaged, though no one was hurt.

The firefighters worked with the Environment Agency to control contamination of the river.
