PART of the cash raised by the runners in a charity race has gone towards repairing a charity boat that suffered frost damage to its plumbing.

The runners in the 10 kilometre Abbots Langley Tough Ten race in October, raised just over £8,000, with beneficiaries now announced, and including South West Narrowboats.

Need of repair

The cash will go towards its narrowboat Dick's Folly, which is in  need of repair after its plumbing suffered frost damaged during December, and is now unusable.

The boat is used for community work including boat trips.
