DIGLIS Basin in Worcester at the end of the Worcester & Birmingham Canal has been given permission to have residential boats.

With electricity, water, waste disposal and on-site car parking Worcester City Council has given permission for 22 residential berths, Alan Tilbury tells us.

The marina's use has been changed from leisure to mixed leisure and residential, which will be split between the inner and outer basins.

The moorings will be rented on an annual basis only, with a total of £13,222 being paid to Worcester City Council for its services.
