More linear mooring

Notwithstanding the policy of supposedly reducing linear moorings in favour of offline moorings, more are being added.

Planning officers have recommended that a plan for linear moorings on the Rufford Branch of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal at Parbold, that included laying railway sleepers and surfacing planks along the offside of the waterway, be approved.

In recent years a new marina was opened on the Rufford Branch, virtually opposite an existing marina.  The new linear moorings are private.
