Ceilidh Evening for Grantham Canal Society

GRANTHAM CANAL SOCIETY had a very successful evening at the Gamston Lock Pub on Sunday 25th May.

With the Stormy Weather Boys providing rousing Sea Shanties to the delight of the audience. The society thanks both venue and singers for their support.

The next event will be a Ceilidh evening on Friday 11th July 2025 at Kinoulton Village Hall 7.30 to 11.00, at a cost of £25 per head.

There will be dancing to popular local band Bellows, Scratchitt & Pluckitt (bellows.org.uk), a professional barbecue and licensed bar.

It promises to be a fun, sociable evening aiming to raise funds and awareness to support the society. Members will be on hand to talk about their experience of volunteering and hopefully tempt you to lend a hand! We will be setting up a new volunteer depot in Gamston shortly, to enable workparties to help restore the Nottingham end of the Grantham Canal.
