Richard Branson's houseboat available to rent

THE SOMEWHAT luxurious houseboat belonging to Richard Branson is available to rent.

It was in the 1970's that he bought the boat, Duende, that is moored in Little Venice on the Regents Canal, Janet Friend reports.

Where he lived

It is where he lived, married his first wife and started his business empire with Virgin Records. 

The houseboat was important to Richard Branson, he explaining:

"The kids grew up on the houseboat, playing in the corner as we held meetings with anyone from Mick Jagger to serious solicitors.

"Some of my happiest family moments, and our greatest business deals, were signed on Duende.”

Still owns

This historic boat, that Richard Branson still owns, is now available to rent.

The houseboat comes either furnished or unfurnished, but either way, a surreal amount of effort has been put into it. There are two bedrooms, one reception room, one bathroom and over 1,000 square feet of space.
