New boaters' lounge for White Mills Marina

THE PEOPLE at White Mills Marina on the Nene tell they are absolutely delighted to announce that work is about to get underway to create a fabulous new boaters' lounge.

This will overlook the marina and will be for the use of boaters and campers on the site.

It will include a comfy chilling-out area as well as showers and toilets, all of which have been designed to enhance our boaters' experience.

Ribbon cutting

When local MP Rt. Hon Stuart Andrew called in to pay us a visit, it simply had to arrange a ribbon cutting ceremony to kick the work off.

Marina Manager Georgina Wickham, who joined the team last Summer explained:

"We are so thrilled to be creating a new area for our boating community. It really promises to be a lovely relaxing space where our boaters can spend time socialising and enjoying the stunning views. Stuart's visit could not have been more timely, and he did a great job cutting the ribbon.

"Now with a completion date of end of May, we just cannot wait for it to be up and running."
