Fenny Marina joins the Cruise Moor scheme
IT WAS five independent family run marinas that joined forces last December to launch the Cruise Moor scheme, writes Debbie Skinner of White Mills Marina.
And are delighted to announce they have welcomed another independent family run marina Fenny Marina to join the unique discounted visitor mooring scheme.
On the Southern Oxford
Fenny Marina which is located in Fenny Compton on the Southern Arm of the Oxford Canal was bought by Ashleigh and Anita Pinder in June this year, and with the couple’s extensive knowledge across all aspects of boating combined with their desire to provide excellent customer service and facilities, its fit within the Cruise Moor scheme which includes Overwater Marina, Aqueduct Marina, Droitwich Spa Marina, Dunchurch Pools Marina and White Mills Marina could not be more perfect.
The Cruise Moor scheme provides boaters who sign up for a one year’s mooring on any of the participating marinas the opportunity to stay on each of the other marinas on a discounted visitor mooring for up to two weeks.
Go that extra mile
Commenting, Robert Parton from Aqueduct Marina told:
“As family run marinas we work incredibly hard to go that extra mile and so we are thrilled to welcome Fenny Marina to Cruise Moor.
Ashleigh and Anita (pictures) share the same aspirations as all of us and are keen to encourage boaters to get out and about and explore the UK’s extensive waterways network.”
Since Cruise Moor was launched last year it has proved to be very popular with boaters and with further announcements of more marinas wanting to join this unique initiative expected over the coming months, next year’s boating season is looking very promising. Boaters wishing to find out more should contact any of the participating marinas.
