MANY of you will possibly remember the major breach on the Stourbridge Canal that was eventually repaired and then earlier this year breached again.

This occurred  on the 4th of January, but a hasty repair allowed passage through Stourton Locks by appointment only, but this only lasted three days as then the navigation was closed, with a notice issued that the work would be completed by the  weekend of the 6th and 7th of February.

But come February it still wasn't repaired, so alas no passage. Yet yesterday (5th March) comes a notice four weeks after it should have been opened that the works have been completed ahead of schedule and the canal has now been re-opened...
