Sue Day—horse boater

IT WAS with great sadness that I read in Towpath Talk that Sue Day had passed away on 22nd October of last year at Beccles Hospital, writes I Dugald Campbell.

Tim Coghlin had written an obituary about her. She was, of course, well known for horseboating on the waterways. It would be good if this could be mentioned in narrowboatworld as she was one of the iconic figures of the waterways.  The picture shows Sue with Bilbo.

I believe that she was married for a short time; sadly, her husband passed away realtively soon after they were married. Waterways World featured this, but I am unable to obtain any further information at present—perhaps a job for narrowboatworld!
