Huge canalside village for Hawkesbury Junction

A HUGE £115 millions 'village' is proposed, replacing the golf course near Hawkesbury Junction.

But at this stage it doesn’t seem to include any facilities for boaters although there is a new road bridge included, Roger Fox reports.

The new masterplan shows the latest phase of a £115 million village by the Coventry Canal that forms part of the 72 acres development on the golf course at Hawkesbury.

Planning permission has been granted for this phase of  110 homes together with a community park, pedestrian and cycle routes and associated infrastructure.

The whole length of the new development area is by the canal with a new bridge over the waterway, but no boating facilities are included.
