Work started on Audlem breach

THE contractors are now at work on the breach on the audlem Flight.

There is an amazing amount of hardware and hardcore in evidence in and around the sizeable compound in the field adjacent to the canal, AudlemOnline reports.

Diverted

The towpath has been diverted for the visitors with steps around the breach and through the field around the perimeter of the works before rejoining the original path.

The editor tells it is looking very professional and secure with guard dogs and CCTV, but didn't realise they could steal a canal!
