Now two broken bridges on the Leeds & Liverpool

 IN ADDITION to the broken Niffany Swing Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal another swing bridge is broken.

This is New Lane Swing Bridge (31) that has damaged barriers and so is out of operation, Keith Gudgin tells us.

Mechanical fault

This is in addition to Niffany Swing Bridge that has suffered a mechanical fault.

However the weather conditions mean that these will not be attended to until after the snow and ice has cleared. But they will cause no problems as there are no boat movements on the canal as the water is frozen!
