IT WAS last year that 47 years old Scott Eccles and his dad 71 years old Tom walked across Scotland to raise funds for charity, and this month they will be cycling the Leeds & Liverpool towpath for the same charity.

East Lancashire Hospice will again benefit from the 127 miles ride along the length of the canal, that will also include friend Mick Hoyle—who took part in the gruelling Yorkshire Three Peaks walk.

The cycle ride will be to raise money for East Lancashire Hospice that caters for cancer and stroke victims, with Tom fighting his way back to fitness after a stroke more than 10 years ago, while Scott, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the age of 37, is celebrating 10 years of being clear.

The ride will start on Sunday 16th June from Leeds and take two days to compete, and of course the trio will be collecting for the hospice along the way.
