Paddling from London to Leeds

THERE are two canoeists to look out for as they make their way up the Trent & Mersey to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, writes Roger Fox.

They are two Canadians who we first encountered in Berkhamsted and we caught up with them two weeks later in Stone where they are pictured.

The two are paddling from London to Leeds where they have family. They brought their pack-away boats with them as well as tents which they pitch by the canal for overnight stays.
