Aire & Calder now open

THOUGH Canal & River Trust reported that Woodlesford Lock on the Aire & Calder had re-opened yesterday (Friday) after its closure, it has reported that it is now closed again.

It tells that engineers have assessed the downstream sluice that was not working, and that it will need both divers and a crane to carry out the necessary repairs, Keith Gudgin tells us.

Repair over week-end

It is expected this will take place over the week-end and boaters will be notified if the repair is successful.
