See the trend?

THE Canal & River Trust produces implausible statistics of the number of visitors to its waterways about which there's no way of challenging, writes Bill Ridgeway.

CaRT is involved in legal actions which cost a lot of money about which there's no way of finding information and, therefore, no way of challenging that expenditure.

Unrealistic reasons

CaRT works on and dredges non-navigable canals (repairing the Stainton Aqueduct and dredging the Pocklington Canal) and gives unrealistic reasons for doing so.

CaRT rewrites the history of the construction of Hatton Locks.

CaRT conveniently asserts that FOI enquiries will take too long to answer.
