Sawley moorers asked to check boats

Published: Sunday, 20 March 2016

IN AN attempt to ensure that the missing boater Josh Cotton is not still somewhere in the vicinity, the police are asking all boat owners at Sawley Marina to return to the marina and check their boats.

Sergeant James Cross of Leicestershire Police Missing Persons Team, having had the team search the marina and the water wants to eliminate the possibility of Josh still being in the marina in a boat.

In another boat

The 22 years old Josh Cotton was last seen near to his red narrowboat The Spirit, which is moored on the south bank, almost in front of the amenities block, at 4pm on Friday 11th March, and notwithstanding a thorough search of the marina there has been no trace of him. It is thought, as he is suffering from depression, he could be in another boat in the marina, hence the police request.

If you know Josh and have any information that may assist us please contact Leicestershire Police on 101.
