G&S bridge still out of action

THOUGH the Low Level Bridge at Sharpness on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal has now been inspected for repairs, work will not be completed until the week-end at the earliest.

 

However, this is of little consequence to boaters, as it is situated at the end of the waterway where it joins the Severn.

Welding

Welding work is to be undertaken on the bridge tomorrow, Thursday, with an update being given the following day, Keith Gudgin tells us.

It was damage to the deck of the bridge that caused it to be closed on Friday 16th of October.

LATEST

The bridge was repaired yesterday, Thursday, and is now working.
