Ghoulishly good fun at Dudley

THE Dudley Canal Tunnel and Limestone Mines are organising their most spookish Halloween ever, with two kinds of boat trips.

Visitors can choose from a family friendly ‘spooky' trip or a much scarier trip that is aimed at adults. Both trips will be running between 28th and 31st October. The family friendly trips will run between 4.30 and 7pm, and the scarier trips between 7.30 and 9.00pm. Ghoulish surprises

Nick Morris, Chief Executive at Dudley Canal Trust Trips Ltd, promises:

"This Halloween is set to be our spookiest ever. There will be plenty of ghoulish surprises that take advantage of the naturally spooky tunnels and caverns."

The family friendly trips will feature a UV puppet show, whilst the spookier trips will be full of scary surprises set to make visitors jump and their skin crawl we are told.

New Portal building

This will be the first major event that will include the Trust's new Portal building, which is due to open in early October. As well as housing an interactive exhibition and a function and community learning space, the Portal will house a new licenced restaurant Gongoozlers, providing canal side food and drink for visitors.

Both the family friendly and the scary trips depart every 30 minutes and last about an hour. Tickets are £7.80 for children and adults for the family friendly trips, and £10.80 for the scary trip. Call to book on 0121 557 6265.
