Those broken locks

THE repair to Lock 8W on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal has now been completed and is open.

Locks 10W and 26W on the 'Narrow' however are still closed.

Buckby Flight

The condition of Lock 12 of the Buckby Flight on the Grand Union Canal needs a more substantial repair, which will take place tomorrow (Friday) from 8am to 12 noon, Keith Gudgin tells us.

During this time Locks 7 to 13 will be closed and boats will not be permitted between Locks 9 and 13 as pound levels may need to be lowered in order to facilitate the works.
